In Dhaka different socio- cultural organizations arrange various programmes, such as cultural functions, discussions and bringing out colourful processions. Government also take some programmes on the occations. Bangladesh Television (BTV) and Bangladesh Betar air special programmes and national dailies bring out supplements to mark the day. So we can say that, the celebration of Pahela Baishakh is a part of Bengali culture, so it bears a great significance for us.
